Who are you?
Thanks for asking! My name is Elizabeth Kulikov. I am a therapist in Florida offering online individual and couple’s counseling for adults, specializing in Catholic counseling. I combine evidence-based modalities and the latest research in the field with my intellectual and personal knowledge of the Christian faith. I would be delighted to meet you!
What kind of counseling do you do?
I draw heavily on person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic therapy techniques. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy to teach mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance skills. I use the Gottman method for couple’s counseling. If you are Catholic or Christian, I can also leverage your faith as a strength and lay the groundwork for spiritual growth as part of the treatment plan.
Do I have to be Catholic to benefit from your counseling services?
Of course not. I have treated many clients in a secular setting and I use evidence-based methods and ethical best practices to treat every person, regardless of the person’s faith or lack thereof. Therapy will be tailored to you, with full respect for your beliefs, whether you practice any religion or no religion.
What can I expect during the first session?
We will have a 15-20 minute video consultation before you commit to an intake session. During the consult, we can chat and you can get to know me, ask any questions you have, and determine whether I am the right therapist for you. If you chose to continue with an intake, I will go over my policies and procedures with you, gather your background information to inform your case, and we will formulate a treatment plan together to meet your goals.
How much do you charge? Do you take insurance?
Self-pay only. The prices reflect my expertise and the quality of my services, as I am able to provide care consistent with your values and beliefs. The initial session, a 90-minute intake, including diagnosis, case conceptualization and treatment plan formation, is $200, with subsequent sessions lasting 53-60 minutes at a rate of $180 for individuals and $140 for couples. I can provide a monthly superbill for reimbursement if you have insurance with out-of-network coverage.
What are your education and experience?
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. My license number is MH26575. I have been in practice for five years. I have worked in both community settings and private practice and treated thousands of clients from diverse backgrounds with a variety of concerns. I graduated from the University of North Florida with a Master’s degree in Clinicial Mental Health Counseling. I have additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Do you offer evening and weekend hours?
Yes, hours are flexible with evenings and weekends included. We will schedule your first session after intake.
Do you work with children?
I do not work with children at this time, only adults 18+ and couples.
